Alongside the soundtrack of the original Star Ocean launching for several music streaming services last night, the rest of the franchise, except for Star Ocean: Blue Sphere (and Star Ocean: Material Trader if that event counts), has received that same treatment. Immense thanks to Twitter user @Synbios_ for informing us of this significant development.
The oddly named Star Ocean Anamnesis was the third Star Ocean game on mobile devices and launched in Japan in 2016, with a worldwide launch in 2018. Made for the 20th anniversary of the series, Star Ocean Anamnesis was a tactical battle game starring an original cast of characters, although various characters from the series could also be summoned.
Ukawa: Once Myuria joins the party, I end up using her for the rest of the game. During the development, I would use Deep Freeze in every fight to freeze enemies, then use Lightning Blast to shatter them, but battle designer Shiraishi saw me doing this and he started nerfing the freezing effect.
In STAR OCEAN - THE LAST HOPE - 4K & FULL HD REMASTER, Earth has been decimated by World War III, and now humanity must turn to the stars in search of a new home. Although it's the fourth installment in the series, this game is a prequel to the original, showing how Earth escalated tensions, triggering intergalactic use of weapons of mass destruction. With everyone in the galaxy believing the apocalypse was upon them, a ceasefire was reached while everyone was picking up the pieces to see what remained. The countries that survived have joined together to form the Greater Unified Nations and have turned their eyes skyward. You explore the galaxy on your quest, make allies and enemies among the alien races you encounter, and uncover a danger so great that it threatens all of creation.
While en route to the planet Aeos, your ship encounters a strange object which throws the vessel off course and forces you to land on an unknown planet. This starts off your huge adventure, where you encounter friends and foes alike. Even with this game being eight years old I'm still not going to be spoiling the story in this review incase any of you haven't played it yet. I can say that the cast of characters that you will meet on your journey is a good one, and the writing here is also brilliant, with some interesting moments throughout the game. You are tasked with finding new planets and a new source of hope for humanity.
The remaster has some weird options for a console game, especially when it's not a remake. With options to adjust things from resolution all the way to anti-aliasing, as a console gamer I was surprised to find that these were available. These choices may seem miniscule to PC gamers, but as a console gamer I have never experienced graphical options, so this took me by surprise. You can change the visual style from Modern to Classic. When set to Classic, the title looks like the original from 2009, which looks awesome and I hope this is included in more remasters in the future.
Thank you Omar for calling with good news about my Toco policy. Just started with toco last year but so far they've been good to me and my family. I don't have any complaints right now for them. Thank you. 2b1af7f3a8
